It’s a new year and we have some new faces here at Forte Analytical! Our metallurgical testing is still overseen by Lab Manager - Nick Gow, while our analytical group is managed by Analytical Director - Brittany Garcia. Meet our new team members below who have assisted us with the expansion of our first full year of operation.
Peggy McNicol – Logistics Manager
Peggy’s experience spans environmental, research & development, mining, and chemical laboratories. Focus on supervision, analytical improvement, Lean implementation, six sigma, management of regulations (Federal, State, Local levels) and ISO 9001, 17025, 14001. Implemented, and obtained certification for laboratories, optimized copper cathode sampling, improved product traceability with bar coding system.
Heather Ferrara – Project Engineer
Heather obtained hands on laboratory experience in hydrometallurgy and spent time training others in physical metallurgy analysis and research while earning her degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. Her professional career began with investigating and dispositioning non-conforming materials and implementing process improvements that will assure ongoing compliance with the highest quality and regulatory requirements including ISO and ASTM standards for a Fortune 500 steel manufacturer. Heather has Six Sigma training and many OSHA and business acumen classes to help maintain quality, safety, and productivity while minimizing costs. At Forte Analytical, her primary focus is on Column Leach Testing to give the most comparable results to in-field applications producing a time dependent rate of recovery.
Leira Holland-Jackson – Office Manager
Leira obtained office management experience early on in her career in Atlanta, Georgia. She had previously worked at one of the top insurance defense law firms in the southeast. There she was able to gain great experience managing the administrative side of a business. Her areas of expertise include facilities management, accounting, and human resources.
